Darab acts for both employers and senior executives (including Board directors and partners) in relation to employment and related matters. He is often engaged to provide strategic advice on managing exits and to negotiate, either from the perspective of the employer or the senior executive. He enjoys the fast pace and dynamic nature of dealing with employment law issues.
He advises employers on difficult issues such as performance management and sickness absence, including with regard to any disability-related aspects and any obligations to make adjustments. He has a particular interest in dealing with discrimination issues.

Darab acted for a leading university, successfully resolving unfair dismissal, breach of contract and sex and disability discrimination claims brought by multiple claimants. He acted for the Chief Investment Officer of an investment bank, bringing unfair dismissal and whistleblowing claims, which resulted in a successful and high value settlement. He has also recently carried out a comprehensive update of a Bank’s staff handbook to bring it up-to-date with current legislation and practice.
